Chicks Unleashed brings together women of all abilities & experience who share a passion for the mountains and would like to further their walking, mountaineering or climbing in an all-female environment. The clinics are led by Britain's top female professionals, picked for their instructional expertise and enthusiasm for the mountains and the people with whom they work.

If you fancy doing any of our clinics with your fella or a bunch of boys, we'd be delighted to help you out. Please contact Rosie directly.

winter programme 2010

Our Winter programme is ready for viewing. Be inspired and contact us!

We've laid on a programme of essential skills weekends to enable you to go to the hills with refined techniques and greater confidence.

These include the use of ice axe and crampons, how to assess the snow for avalanche risk and what to do in the event of such risks, how to build emergency shelters and how to sculpt anchors out of the snow. We will also be running a one week 'Introduction to The Winter Mountains' in February.

Social Meet, 19-21st February

We're off to the Cairngorms for our Social Meet. Would you like to join us?

These meets have turned out to be an enormous success and a brilliant way to get to know other mountain loving women, and if you'd like to brush up on some skills we'll have a few skills sessions on the go.

Want to read the basics of our previous Social Meet?

Introduction to Winter Hills

Come and join us on the West Coast of Scotland this February. This fantastic landscape provides a stunning starting point for your journey in to the experience that is the Scottish mountains in winter.
